Manufacturing Jobs,Construction Jobs

Construction managers are in charge of construction projects, such as buildings, roads, or bridges. They receive the plans for a project and must figure out how to build it. Construction managers work out of a main office from which the overall construction project is monitored, or out of a field office at the construction site. Advances in telecommunications and Internet access allow construction managers to be onsite without being out of contact of the main office. Management decisions regarding daily construction activities generally are made at the jobsite. Managers may travel extensively when the construction site is not close to their main office or when they are responsible for activities at two or more sites. They consider various construction methods and decide which one is best for the job. They schedule all the activities that are involved in the construction project. They plan how long each step of the project will take and when each team of workers will be needed. On big jobs, managers use computers to plan the construction. They arrange for trade contractors to complete specific pieces of the project, such as plumbing or painting.Construction. Laborers also remove trees and debris, tend pumps, compressors and generators, and build forms for pouring concrete. They erect and disassemble scaffolding and other temporary structures. They load, unload, identify, and distribute building materials to the appropriate location according to project plans and specifications. Laborers also tend machines; for example, they may mix concrete using a portable mixer or tend a machine that pumps concrete, grout, cement, sand, plaster, or stucco through a spray gun for application to ceilings and walls. professions.

Sprinkler system installers install and repair fire protection sprinkler systems in buildings. Gas fitters install and maintain natural gas lines and equipment. Apprentices are included in this group.

Helpers assist mechanics with the repair of cars and industrial machinery. They also help repairers of electrical and electronic equipment. Helpers' jobs are entry-level jobs. They assist with repair tasks that do not require the skill of trained mechanics. They performs task like tend and observe equipment and machinery in order to verify efficient and safe operation, install or replace machinery, equipment, and new or replacement parts and instruments, using hand tools or power tools, disassemble broken or defective equipment in order to facilitate repair; reassemble equipment when repairs are complete, provide assistance to more skilled workers involved in the adjustment, maintenance, part replacement, and repair of tools, equipment, and machines, position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures, and other objects for assembly or installation, using hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment.

Cost estimators forecasting the cost of future projects is vital to the survival of any business. Cost estimators develop the cost information that business owners or managers need to make a bid for a contract or to decide whether a proposed new product will be profitable. The cost estimator then prepares time-phase charts and learning curves. Time-phase charts indicate the time required for tool design and fabrication, tool debugging finding and correcting all problems manufacturing of parts, assembly, and testing. Learning curves graphically represent the rate at which the performance of workers producing parts for the new product improves with practice.
